Chhau Dance Summer Camp-2025

The Chhau Dance Summer Camp 2025 is a unique cultural initiative set to take place from 1st June to 15th June 2025 at the world-famous Chhau Padia (Field) and the Mayurbhanj Chhau Nrutya Pratisthan, both located in Baripada, Odisha. Organized by the esteemed Uttarsahi Chhau Nrutya Pratisthan, Baripada, this 15-day residential camp aims to introduce and train young students in the rich and dynamic tradition of Mayurbhanj Chhau, a UNESCO-recognized martial dance form.

Open to students from Class V to Class XII, the camp will offer expert-guided sessions on basic to intermediate Chhau dance techniques, physical fitness, rhythm training, and mask-making workshops. The program also includes cultural interactions, storytelling, and performances by veteran Chhau dancers to inspire and educate the next generation.

Held in the historic heartland of Chhau, this summer camp is not just a training platform, but a journey into the heritage and pride of Mayurbhanj. Students will receive participation certificates, and a concluding performance will showcase their learning. This initiative aims to preserve and promote Chhau among youth, ensuring the legacy continues to thrive for generations to come. Early registration is encouraged due to limited seats.
